PROBLEM FROM

A CATERING SERVICE COMPANY

During the master program, I was able to get in touch with a project which collaborates with a catering service company. The project went from investigating the problem using design thinking tools and think of ways to best fit the company using design strategic ways. The video aboce shows the idea and concept for the solution we suggested in this project.

COMPLEX

LIFESTYLE RESEARCH

 

The project with Gregory is to look into the lifestyle of Chinese consumers in order to find a new direction for the company. The research include design thinking tools and ways to observe and investigate on consumers' lifestyle but not only by simply a questionaire. A solution is also suggested for the company base on the research done on these consumers.

VIVO'S 5G DIRECTION

In the project with Vivo, a research is done base on the market now on internet and what do people do in the meantime. The research was base on different reports, questionaires or even interviews on not only statistics but the values and people use phones. The second part of the project then focus on how these values can be brought out with the new 5G technology and differentiate themselves among other companies.

REVITALIZING

OLD URBAN

DISTRICT

This project was done when I was studying my bachelor degree. The urban renewal project look into an old urban district - Wan Chai and discover different problems in the area.

Our group has noticed the old district is heavily base on pedestrian on transportation, however the pedestrian walkway is not very pleasant. Therefore we designed a pleasant journey in order to help change the district.

​

Other than widening the walkways to let people to walk, we thought we can rely on an old transportation, tram to let people travel around in the district. In order to make the tramway journey pleasant, we thought of creating art signboards in the building. This does not make the journey interesting but also creating a new value to the old advertising sign boards in the district.

STRATEGIC DESIGN FOR

HONG KONG POST

The project of Hong Kong post is to look into the future of the world and help the company to decide or suggest a new way to get out of their comfort zone. From the strategic design theory, something that is doing well now does not mean it will do well in the future. Therefore, it is important that companies always look for new directions by predicting the future with analysis to the current trends. We have suggested that Hong Kong post can collaborate with 5G and smart city to create a convenient yet seamless system for mailing and parcels.
