After watching the programme American's got talent, I noticed a deaf singer who was one of the contestants has beautiful voices. She was Mandy Harvey who was deaf since 18 and tried to create beautiful music and songs, while singing them to people around her. It is inevitable that she has tried very hard in order to learn how to sing the right note when she cannot hear at all. Her great effort and perseverance has made me create the piece.

The idea is to create a CD cover like piece showing her identity. Mandy mentioned that she used her muscles and touches to feel and try to sing with help of a machine. In order to emphasise on her use of touches, I drew her hands with her signature guitar to show how she creates great music from that. I also included a quote from her on the piece.
DAILY QUOTE
The hand figures are drawn for practising my drawing skills. When studying the hands and shadows I also record down my daily mood and use a quote to summarise my feelings. Therefore I tried to combine the two components to create a collage using colors, the short quote and the hand figure. I also try to experiment on how the quote interacts with the hand figure to create interesting scene for it.

LYRICS
This piece is inspired by the movie begin again. After watching the movie and listening to all the great musics, I was particularly fond of the song 'Lost Starts'. Therefore I drew a falling girl to show how people would lost and fall in a galaxy full of glittering stars. The piece is also placed with a sentence in the song.
